Well, almost done my Christmas shopping. Aside from a few gift cards and minor things, the substantive part of the shopping - the go out to stores and look around and try to figure out what to buy sort - is complete for 2008

I was in church yesterday (my chorus was singing, I don't attend), and saw a teenager with that Twilight vampire book...in church! Ha. Well, it WAS a Unitarian church...

The Twilight series is a wildly popular series of sappy vampire romances. That your nephew wants them ... well, he's broad-minded, or just following the herd.

Probably a bit of both in his case. I also bought him a copy of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, which is a bit more intellectual (but suited to his age group) than the vampire ones.
