I've definitely had these thought as well. After reading "The Game" a ways back, the concept of cold-approaching people didn't seem quite so crazy. I'm frequently the guy who strikes up a random conversation with a stranger in line or at a store... not the creepy kind, just the friendly "hold the door for old people and chat with them for a sec" kind. It's nice to put yourself out there sometimes.

You might enjoy reading "Buddhism: Plain and Simple" or "The Peaceful Warrior" (the latter having a pretty decent movie as well)... just something to grab if you were thinkin' of a new book :)

I was just talking to my down-the-hall neighbour totday about putting yourself out there.

She's depressed that she's 31 and still hasn't found a suitable mate. I argued that even after 40, you're still working with such a small sample size compared to how many people are out there and the number of possible mates. I urged her to put herself out there more often so she can meet more personalities and hopefully one that matches her own.
