This is just such a great story and *such* a great crossover! Ryan fits in seamlessly: I could totally see him getting somewhere with Natalie if that ducklike kid wasn't in the picture (best description of Jeremy ever, by the way). And I've just been lamenting the premature death of SportsNight, so I loved seeing it live on in fandom. Thanks!

This is a fic that makes such perfect, astounding sense that I can't believe it's never been done before. I love that Ryan's a tiiiny bit starstruck and Dan's just Dan.

I'm so glad you liked it! I was worried about the Ryan voice because, hey, new fandom, but I'm glad it worked for you. (Also, haha, Ryan would TOTALLY be the kind of guy who played it off as "whatever, I see celebrities all the time because I live here now" to anyone he knows in NYC, but secretly look forward to going to Scranton where he can be a big rockstar.)

SO AWESOME. And totally fitting in with the HIMYM crossover, by the way - I'm imagining it taking place somewhere between meeting Marshall for the first time (and therefore noticing how tall everyone in NY is) and actually hanging out with the HIMYM crew.
