Before I get to the movies that were nominated and who will win and who should win, I just need to take a moment to rage in defense of the movies/people that were not nominated whose absence on the ballot is a travesty of epic proportions. Where, for the love of all that is good, is Michael Fassbender's name on the best actor category?? The man

I was so unimpressed by the oscar lineup this year. What a lackluster collection of movies! I am so much more excited by your list than by anything that I saw (and refused to see!). Heres hoping that next year is better. I still want to do a year of seeing EVERY movie, but I want to like at least 40% of them. Geez.

I agree it's not the most exciting year. But I'm still really glad I did it. I never would have seen the movies I mentioned above if I hadn't been death racing! I think it was a really neat experience. I had to force myself out of my comfort zone a lot and I was surprised by how much I saw that I liked! I never, ever would have watched the movie "Warrior" if I hadn't been doing this crazy project. But it turned out to be really amazing (even though it shouldn't be...so weird, that movie)! I hope next year is better, cause it would be fun to have a partner, even a long distance one!
