I'm taking another sociology course this semester, called "Theories of Race & Ethnicity." I was really, really anxious going into this class, because I SO wanted it to be a good class, and not a bunch of white-supremacy-reinforcing bullshit. You haven't posted on LJ in a while? it's been 191 weeks for me, according to my profile, so really no one should get mad at you :) Oh dear, I feel a bit like a spaceman traveling in a spaceship going twice the speed of light. Time seemed to be traveling at a normal pace but really it just flew by. (I'm not an astrophysicist and am not sure that this would actually work but it sounds good enough to me ( ... )

...LOL. Sheer hilarity. I would say that they could make a sitcom episode out of this, except that with OUR version of time, nobody would stick around long enough to see the resolution. That episode sure as hell wouldn't be 25 minutes. (I believe we once had a discussion about this...time does the exact same thing to me. As in, snubs me very rudely but talks to EVERYONE else. What the fuck is up with that?)

Did you really try to call me from Japan? We get SO MANY telemarketers calling our house (seriously, they ring all day!) that it occurs to me that it's entirely possible that you called and no one ever picked up when they saw on the caller ID that it was from Japan. Because we assumed it was a telemarketer. Seriously, if you tried to call, I'm SURE that's what must have happened. Oh my god.

Yeah, it's the same number (excepting the new area-code thingy); the first time that would be good to call is probably tomorrow night if you're not busy. Although my email is

Though the class sounds interesting, I sympathize with you being "out" already. Sounds like a new record? LOL. >_< *sighs*

But if you have THAT much reading to get done, why doesn't she let you guys start? And try to keep ahead of schedule instead of cutting for time later? Sheesh indeed.
