WHY is it that whenever I'm in the computer lab, I end up at a computer next to someone who is a very loud mouth breather? Or someone who smacks their lips constantly? I know. It's the sort of noise that I just about hate the most.

It's my number-one reason to avoid eating with other people. When my dad lived with us, there was at least usually conversation at the table (the one good thing I can say about my dad being here); now, the three of us often lapse into silence at the table, and the chewing sounds just drive me nuts. Same goes for my sister. So we all tend to eat separately nowadays.

(What's weird about that is that my dad barely ever spoke at the dinner table. Maybe he just made us all nervous? I have no idea.)

People at this school TALK to themselves at the computer a lot, too. Last night I had TWO people doing it on either side of me! WTF? Thank god for the invention of personal music players.

I always get the table in the library stacks right next to a flickering light. That means I HAVEHAVEHAVE to stop typing or reading every 10.5 seconds to glance at it in annoyance.
