The more I think about it, the more pleased I am about this new stamp. I need to buy lots of them.
I wrote something about it
here. I was an inquisitive kid. I wanted to know what The Future would be like. Before January 10, 1964, I'd never heard of R. Buckminster Fuller. But one look at the
cover of that week's Time and I wanted to know all about him. I read every word of that story, over and over again. I wore out all the pictures with my eye tracks. Domed houses. Tensegrity structures. Three-wheeled cars. World's Fairs. I was ten. He was 74. It was magic.
Edited to add: I can scarcely believe that I neglected to mention the artist. The painter was the great Boris Artzybasheff.
