No. His son is a physicist here; for the 50th anniversary of the transistor, he brought in his dad's Nobel medals and other memorabilia to display. Someone baked a cake in the shape of a point-contact transistor. I had a piece.

The fun I'm missing!

If you have a bit of time, I really recommend the book. It's a great story about a really fine guy.

I "met" Fuller through my Jr High art teacher. He was a student of his. always talked about Bucky. The airport story is the best. His ride didn't show. He went to complain at the deak. An announcement was made: Could someone who known Buckminster Fuller please give him a ride to his hotel?" There were a dozen people running up to take him up on the offer!
