Yes, because I want to spend my winter looking like a puffy Iratus bug

Why would you make a puffy, shiny down coat with distracting exoskeleton-like quilting for plus sized women? Perhaps because you hate them???

Well, to be completely honest, I think whoever designed this hates everybody. Or regrets doing fashion design for the common folk instead of the movies, because clearly he wants us to look like we're ( Read more... )

oh yeah I can just see me in that. A big, puffy, middle age woman who can't move her arms. That's attractive :p I can never understand people who design these clothes.

I know, I think even on a teeny tiny person it would look ridiculous.

How would one move their arms in that thing? Or walk at all? It looks not only exoskeletalbut like cold-weather bondage fetish gear. YUCK.

Julia, not to mention climb up the bussteps and sit down.

cold-weather bondage fetish gear.

YES. That's what I was scrabbling around for and not getting.

::happily imagines coat with deep red lipstick and thigh-high patent leather boots:: Though I think the tight sleeves might interfere with your whip arm.

I'm seriously stuck in the past when it comes to winter coats: I have a grey lambswool single-breasted one that looks like it came from a first-grade reader illustrating the word "coat." I think I need to find some jazzy buttons for it soon, make it less blah. But it's warm, and there's room under for a sweater when I have to take the bus somewhere.

It doesn't usually get cold enough here to wear a full-length down coat, anyway, and they suck in the rain.

Julia, there are cashmere gloves and hat on sale there, I should never have looked.

Oh dear. And the shine! It's bright enough when the snow reflects the sun.

(admits to wearing something similar at age 5)

Look, we the people accept that the colder it gets, the more like walking pillows we will look, but man, there is no need to get insulting like that with the coats.

Honestly, it would be a lot more flattering to make down caftans or just lash a couple of comforters on with belts.
