Bead Fugs The American Ballet Gala

I adore Go Fug Yourself, a fantastic fashion and snarking site, and on a stumble through the interwebs this morning, I found pictures of a gala that caused me to gasp, and not in a good way, so in case the Fug Girls miss this one, let me show you the horror....

It's a shame that probably the prettiest dress in these pictures is Renee's, and she looks even more scary than when she's properly made up. No, I'm not a fan of Renee. Her permanently pinched expression bugs me.

Did everyone fire their stylists due to the recession?

I think that Renee's dress is the prettiest from a certain angle. The front view with it's extra pooftyness and drape that looks like it might be uncomfortable, troubles me.

And yes, her face looks like five miles of bad road. I think at least some lipstick that wasn't flat, brownish-red and more rosy would have helped enormously. And maybe a necklace or something.

There were a couple of pictures where her hands looked all dry and gnarly, too. Not Madonna-terrifyingly-gnarly, but prematurely aged.

It was a log of fug...there was also this Flashdance-shouldered royal blue and maroon purple figured "I tore the curtains down and made a sexeh medieval dress! Look at my 80's studded belt!" kind of a thing, but I couldn't find a picture I didn't have to pay for.
