It's so nice that you're posting these bits and pieces! I do love your way with words - cat haberdashery :) - and poor Rodney sitting on his lunch! Not world-shattering but still...

I was patting my girls, who have taken to bookending me when I'm in bed (making it very hard to move) and Jeff came in and got this huge grin on his face. So there you go. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Sitting on his lunch isn't earth shattering, but as part of the day he was having....so demoralizing.

After spending an afternoon in the ER, I so needed this... *happy sigh*

Yeah, just ended up running a fever around 103 for a few days, so had to go in because I was so dehydrated and the Tylenol wasn't breaking the fever. They put me on fluids, gave me something in the IV for the fever and ran some tests to make sure it wasn't bacterial infection or anything. Home now, about to take a warm bath to soak the achy bones, take my pain meds and Tylenol and crawl into bed... thinking happy thoughts of John with a kitty hat... ;)
