A Checkmate Timeline - Chronological

Several people have asked if I could clarify the timeline, since the story jumps around a lot. I know my preference is for the as-published order or jumping, because I like the way you learn things slowly, but it can get a little confusing.

Hi, I'm a totally new reader and would really like to read this but I'm having trouble finding the start! Every time I get to one that I think is the beginning it says 'follow on from X' Then I found this, but it doesn't have links! Have you thought about adding links to this? I'm probably going to persevere (I must be able to work this out!) but links would have been really handy *g*
