Fic: Conflicted, Checkmate 'Verse Near-the-end snippet, M/S

According to my recent poll, an even dozen people requested to please, please, post this now. That's good enough for me at 2 am.

This is part of a larger story arc set the week before John's return to human form. You may consider it spoilery or heavy foreshadowing. Proceed at own risk.

I've been meaning to comment with how much I enjoy this series but I got struck with a bit of inspiration and wanted to wait until I got it done. Since you didn't seem to mind other folks tinkering within this 'verse, I thought you might like this: The Cat Instinct.

Thank you for creating such a cool storyline and I'm looking forward to more of it.

I have so much love for this, I cannot even tell you. I laughed myself nearly senseless.

Would it be all right for someone to write a short fic to go with it, or an animated icon?

Seriously, AWESOME.

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. As for ficcing/iconing, please be my guest! After all, it's a riff off of your stories... it would be rather churlish of me to say no.

Loved Rodney's "I'll pretend I didn't see that."

Shep!Kitty on his back is cute too. Very catly.
"I meant to do that" after a failed attempt at something.

LOL, yeah my cats do that all the time. 'Tis one of the inspirations for the comic.

That's absolutely brilliant! Love the wiggling body and the sliding down, and Rodney!

Hee!

One of our cats (Petra, 2 1/2 yr old Russian Blue at the time of this writing) used to do something similar all the time, only with lizards (live in northern Florida). Given that we have vertical blinds on the windows, she made a tremendous CRASH-thump! She seems to mostly have gotten over that, fortunately.
