Someone said recently that Uhura was 'just the love interest' in the Trek reboot, which irritated me a great deal. I wrote a bit of a rant/essay on women characters and then discovered that voila! sarahtales had done it better! so go read it if you haven't already! (since it's been making a lot of the rounds, there's a strong chance you have.)

You guys, this Read more... )

I can't resist it - it really is a kind of perfect pairing, and they are just too fabulous together!

OMG I LOVE THIS WHOLE POST. PETER/SUSAN! SKANDAR!

I read the Betsy-Tacy-Tib books, too! Just the kid ones, though. I'm more of an Anne of Green Gables girl.

SKANDAR AND PETER/SUSAN EEEEEE. *happy sigh*

Sometime you should read the others, too! They really are fabulous, and Betsy does become a writer, and they're... fairly similar I guess in parts, to Anne of Green Gables. If you haven't, sometime you should try them. The last three especially are FABULOUS.

Will and Anna look so young in those clips from LWW. Awwwww, you just want to hug them.

Where is that picture of Gwen from? The dress is gorgeous.

his lack of research makes me angry
Ooh, which parts especially?

I knowwww, they are so young and adorable! *hugs them*

MERLIN SEASON TWO PROMO PICS, OMG. IT IS SO AWESOME. *cannot wait*

ALLLLLL OF IT. *rage* But especially I guess the parts where he has Mr. and Mrs. and Susan Pevensie going to America. In summer of 1942. Because she's the pretty one of the family (but she's only like 12! WUT.) And would Peter be studying for university when he is possibly 13? With a special tutor? I am just... ARGH.

...I kinda hope Gwen gets more than one dress this season. She's soooo pretty though. /blatant favoritism

I...I have had to assume that the Pevensies didn't get to the Professor's until way late in the war, and that...Susan...was twelve in LWW (lol, maybe they were sent to someone else's house first and Ed was so bad they got kicked out)? I DON'T KNOW. I went through it all somewhere and tried to figure it out, but I failed. And you're like, DUDE, you wouldn't even have to research, you were RIGHT THERE ALL THE TIME AGH.

Also the White Witch, hundred years' winter...so where do the Beavers get oranges and sugar and things?

SHE IS GORGEOUS. And even if she only has one dress, this season's dress is prettier. OMG SO PRETTY.

I sometimes blatantly ignore the book canon because it does not compute in my brain, what no that does not I don't even aaaahhhhhhh. *runs away* I KNOW! He was there! He has NO EXCUSE for his non-existent research!

... that's the sort of mystery you grab a red pen for. :P

lsasfdkljsdf skandar! every time I see him I go, "guh, please stop being so much younger than me!" I particularly love his shirt in the last picture. Actually I love his everything in that one. waist! cuffs! stare! yeah, he needs no explaining.

Raisin bread is my FAVORITE. yummmmm. I have never made bread, but I can only imagine it would be the most delicious thing ever. And those quesadillos sound awesome too.

That Peter/Susan picture (well, I guess Will/Anna because they are not in character?) is SO ADORABLE. they are all young and sweet! I have given up feeling guilty about shipping Peter/Susan. hear hear to your defense!

SKANDAR ahlsdkjglsdkfh;jhgkdsjf HE IS MY AGE. It's a shame I'll probably never meet him, because I'm pretty sure we'd get along like a house on fire, even if he wasn't so insanely handsome.

RAISIN BREADDD! It's lots of fun to make from scratch, especially when you're stressed/angry/upset because kneading is like physical therapy or something. It makes you feel loads better.

THEY ARE SO AWESOME TOGETHER! And yeah, I've pretty much given up feeling guilty. If people judge me for it, I will shove my hand in their face and make them read Peter/Susan fic. LOTS OF IT. *evil glee*

LUCKY DUCK <3 And do not say you will probably never meet him, because you neeever knowwww! What if he decides to do a movie that films where you live? I am sure there are movies about this sort of love story :))

Awesome. I need to try this. If I made my own raisin bread, life would be perfect.

heeee! My town actually has had at least two movies filmed in it, and they're filming one downtown right now (or were Saturday, at least). But I am moving to England, so!

I can give you the recipe I use, if you want, and if you have problems I might know how to fix them (and if I don't, my mom will. She has been making bread from scratch for a long, long time. She used to even grind her own wheat! Then our grinder broke. D:)
