THIS is what I'm looking forward to most: Sunshine. The NYTimes even gave it a solid review.

Are you kidding? That looks like shite.

I'm thinking "Event Horizon" bad here.

"Armageddon" bad I'd say. It was released a while ago in the UK, and Deb and I really enjoyed making fun of the plot. She loves disaster movies, especially ones that follow the recipe:

Earth is dying (Core): Nuke it!
A volcano in LA (Volcano): Nuke it!
Earthquakes (10.5): Nuke it!
A comet is coming (Deep Impact): Nuke it!
An asteroid is coming (Armageddon): Nuke it!

I can't wait to nuke global warming.

Nukes are so damn handy. The only thing I've heard you can't do, is hug someone with nuclear arms.

Supposedly the focus is more psychological in tone. You can pretty much sum up any sci-fi movie plot and it'll sound silly. The tone is trying to be more "2001" than "Event Horizon", but we'll see. You know, not everything has to be Shakespeare - it looks fun.

Here's the Times article. When they are hot on something (which is rare really), I usually dig it:

I was wanting to see it too! It looks so pretty in the trailers...I could care less about plot, but that would be nice too.
