Poor Natasha!! What she went through is absolutely horrible - I shudder to think what would have happened to her baby girl had she not been able to hand her over to SHIELD. And Melinda May! The thought of Clint and her working as partners before Natasha joined SHIELD - what an awesome idea! The nod to Melinda's proclivity for pranks was a nice touch. =D I absolutely love what you've done with this, and I can't wait to see the last two parts.

Oh, and I can't access the fanmix. =(

Intriguing story, beautifully done. The bit about lighting the candle for the baby actually caused my monitor to blur up for a bit there. I will certainly hang around for the continuation!

The only query I have is regarding Clint's and Melinda's age come Manhattan (2012) and AoS (2013), if they were junior agents with at least 18 months of training under their belt in 1988 ...? But hey, maybe they just kept better than I have! ;-)

STOP THE PRESSES STOP THE PRESSES THIS IS THE MOST AWESOMEST THING EVER !!!! OMG thank you - whoever you are, my dear Secret Santa this is so PERFECT in so many ways I can't even begin to describe! Multiple POVs, great (seriously GREAT) characterizations, interesting plot going all the way back to 1988. (I can hazard guessing the identity of Nat's baby, and if I'm right I won't be disappointed a tiny little bit, oh God, please let my guess be correct ( ... )

This is wonderful. One of my favorite things is when fics break out of the "fannon bubble", and this so completely does that. The idea of the Red Room forcing Natasha to have a baby is very in line with who they are, and the whole set-up of her giving the baby to Clint and that recognition being behind the "different call" is so incredibly unique. I LOVE IT.

Okay, I don't know about anybody else, but I'm like ready to go hunt ya down and demand a PM with the remaining two stories. :D Seriously, I love it! This is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful job!!!
