My Dear Brother,

We all go through this. The excitement of the accolade fades. The metaphors we use to shore-up our purpose stop working. There is only yourself, your life as it is now, and in an end realize. At your end you will stand naked before God.

Everything else is fleeting: look at your family and friends with your heart and know that it is enough.

I mean to say that i'm planting mental seeds. Maybe in my head, maybe in someone elses. Who knows. I'm glad to do it. I'm just a guy out there doing his thing you know? Maybe i'm an emo loon, but maybe someone needs to see that so that they can aspire to something better than themselves.

You've achieved triple peer. Indeed, what's left except the throne? You need a quest, good knight. Something outside yourself to strive for. What are you passionate about right now? What needs do you see that you could address? It's often in the giving that we find that fulfillment of purpose. But yeah, a bit emo. ;-)

I have one. She is well over 25 pounds now. :-) I didn't write this for (just) myself so much as for others to think about and ponder over this winter season. Everyone should look inside and see why they really do things, and for what reasons. Thank you for your kind words. I'm always on some sort of Quest. I hope in the next year to turn myself more towards fighting excellence, if for no other reason than because it is worthy to do. I'm processing a lot of different thoughts right now about how to go about that while balancing everything else I have chosen to do.

Take a look around, soak in what you are at the moment... enjoy it.
