Get heat wraps--thermacare is the best. Helps a lot with achy joints and muscles and doesn't tear-up your stomach.

And for home, make rice bags. Cost is $1 for the rice and fabric scraps. A minute in the microwave and you have warm, even somewhat moist, heat. Mine manage to calm down even the shoulder bursitis.

Thumb pain sucks. I dislocated my right thumb a few weeks ago (luckily the joint reduced itself right away), and it's still really sore. Hope it gets better.

It's minor but it is a PITA because I keep jambing it over and over. One day it will heal. I have a lot of old hand injuries from fighting and they always come back this time of year and bother me.
