Sometimes in the winter it's practically too cold to take a shower.  It's not so bad once I've gotten the water warmed up and gotten into it.  It's the before and after that's hard!  I'm beginning to think we need some new bathroom accessories like heated floors and towel warmers.  One of those heat lamps in the ceiling wouldn't be bad, either.  ( Read more... )

I haven't been keeping track as well as I should have, but I'm guessing 20 miles in the last 3 weeks.  There was some snow and some really cold below zero windchill days, so I missed some miles.  Total miles - 326.

Happily, I got to stay home today and watch it snow.  There were some really big flakes coming down most of the morning, and it was really pretty.

My husband got up in the middle of the night slash early morning and then he never came back to bed.  I kind of noticed when he got up and left the room, but then I went back to sleep and didn't notice until I woke up this morning to find his side of the bed empty.  He spent all that time shoveling the driveway yesterday evening so people could ( Read more... )

And sleet and freezing rain.  At the beginning of the week we were talking about going to the Powells' house for church, since they do their study on the first Sabbath of the month, and we haven't been since this summer.  It sounded like fun, but then they started forecasting a winter storm warning (watch?
