gipsywriter and I went to an outdoor jazz quintet this evening. They were okay, but you could tell they weren't an official group. They all did their own things and occasionally played together. Not exactly my type of jazz. There were a few really good songs, but not the bluesy jazz that really gets me going

I like the title "Galileo Walks the Dog". And while this wouldn't be satisfactory for the ending of a novel, ending a short story version with someone actually asking Galileo the question, "Well, how long we got?" and his reply being "Only 100 million years." would underline the absurdity of suppressing scientific knowledge, and the specific absurdity of his imprisonment.
