I also read the speech, because I don't think I could have made myself listen to it without either tuning out or smashing something in reaction of the internal screaming that happens when that many brain cells all commit suicide at once, and I am actually happy to see that my interpretation must not have been too far off. You actually noted some of the exact things that stood out, in my mind

Me, I have to read the address transcripts; I have found that I can not watch the live broadcasts without discovering myself screaming at the tube ten minutes in. The man, all of it, just makes me insanely angry.

The zombie analogy oddly befits. Or perhaps not so oddly.

Think I'm gonna give Shaun of the Dead another viewing tonight, maybe some Evil Dead after that.
