(Because the Paradox mods deserve some love, hey!)
I'll kick us off by saying that this is one classy woman. She's stuck with the comm from almost the beginning, and has somehow managed to weather the worst wank while ruling with benevolence. She doesn't write all that much anymore, but I still find myself thinking about her HIMYM/TBBT crossover. The number of fun activities she and the other mods manage to put together is really what made (and, tbh, continues to make) Paradox such a stand-out in my fandom experience.

Among other things, I love that she loves Vienna Teng.
I also love that bbt_eclectic exists. I'm sure she has help from the other listed mods but I assume if she's the owner then she's the mastermind, basically.
Amazingly talented as a writer - her stories are what got me into this fandom, really - and I love how fast she and the other mods will shut down any threads that veer into bashing or hate-speech. They're committed to making the community a comfortable space for everyone, and I really respect that!

Does anyone do apocalypse fic better? PROBABLY NOT. I still remember the first time I read "The Steep-Sided Gorge Excursion" and how I liked it so much I immediately scrolled to the top and started reading it again. Also, I'm not sure which of the mods is responsible for the look of Paradox or if they all collaborate, but it always has such a sleek, polished feel to it, you know? You can tell our fearless leaders put thought and time into literally every part of the community, from the design to the tags to the rules to the activities.

I've been struggling to find the words for what I want to say for ages now, but. Look. Here goes.
When I first got into this fandom, weasleytook was one of the BNFs and there were certain things said that gave me the impression that the BNFs were untouchable by mere mortals, let alone the dreaded newbies.
I have never, ever had that impression personally, and I have to say that weasleytook in fact has been and still is one of the most approachable people in the fandom, even if she's less in the fandom than she used to be.
I appreciate her as a writer, a mod, and a person, and if I ever meet her in person I may very well hug her to bits.

i think damalur is such a talented writer in all of the fandoms that she writes in, and her s/p fic was one of the first things that intro'ed me to the fandom. she did a lot interesting things with the canon ("suicide chess" will always be one of my favorite series to come out of the fandom, and that's saying something) and was a great fandom presence. on top of all of that, she's a genuinely nice person. AND SHE'S INTO MARVEL. so there's also that.

I have a lot of trouble picking my favorite fics in this fandom but it would probably be something by her. I just can't narrow it down.
She's also an awesome person in general; she's always been so good to talk to, so encouraging and enthusiastic and just generally fun.
