I can't even. She knows about everything and her writing is stupidly, intimidatingly good and she's like that cool older sister I always wanted.

I feel like ishie is one of the fandom people I'd really like to be closer to. Like, I wish we talked more online, but I also wish I could just rock up at her house with booze and cheese and crackers and hang out.

"warm gulf wind" is and will likely always be one of my favorite fics to come out of any pairing of any fandom ever. the writing in that fic is so evocative and fluid, and it was the first fic i read that treated the characters SERIOUSLY. she was also a fantastic "pillar of the community," if you will, making sure everyone played nice but not above laying the smackdown if it was necessary (and it was always so beautiful when it was necessary). i consider myself lucky to have met her and maintained a relationship with her that's lasted much longer than my feelings for the show. and on top of all of that, she's genuinely one of the brightest and most well informed and sensible and compassionate and lovely people i've ever known, online or in person.

Listen, this is an unpopular opinion, but yes. I read that story, and I enjoyed it. As a happymaking OTP manifesto, it ain't half bad.

I wish I could write as well as her. I wish I could move people the way that she does.

Also she has excellent taste in music, and I think of her every time I listen to Hem now.

It's still one of my biggest regrets that she's moved on to fandoms that I have no interest in. "& light is only now just breaking" is easily one of my top three BBT stories, and probably one of my top fics in any fandom.

And ugh, she packs so much punch with so few words. "Keep Your Clothes On" is pretty much still my favorite future Penny/Sheldon/Penny's Career story basically...ever.

she doesn't write as much as she used to (in any fandom, really) which makes me very very sad because her stuff always packed a punch in a way i wasn't expecting. the bbt/dollhouse crossover. i still get feelings. FEELINGS.

I return to her stories over and over because I truly admire the way that she writes the characters and extends them beyond what we see on the screen. She is an absolutely stellar writer. Above and beyond that she seems to be a pretty darn awesome person. There are times I wish I could be her "bestie"!

There's something so incredibly ethereal about her style. I can never put my finger on what, but it makes me damn envious.

Also, her alternate universes are so incredibly well-developed that I can't. I literally cannot.

a genuinely fabulous person, a genuinely terrific writer. has the ability to dream worlds and render them with such fullness it's amazing to me. could always be counted on to come up with something i never knew i wanted or maybe something i ACTIVELY DIDN'T WANT and then make me fall in love with it anyway. i don't know that she's writing in many other fandoms now (i think she's doing original fic?) but i do so miss seeing what she'd come up with next.

a fantastic friend. a reliable confidante. a class a human.
