...Brian goes under the knife on Wednesday. MRI results show no problem with his rotator cup but he does have a couple of torn ligaments. It should be a simple surgery procedure and they will hold him overnight just to make sure. The only side affect is that he is going to be sore...very sore...for several weeks. His company has some light duty ( Read more... )

Thank JC...doctor released him for light duty. He's having a hard time surviving life with one hand as his light duty job is some 1-1/2 hour drive down the road. He's playing hell just trying to get dressed.

Well give him our best wishes as to having his surgery to take care of those ligaments. Plus hoooray on the good news of no ticket or citation. The state of Oklahoma best not ticket him, as the State of Oklahoma should be STOMPING TAR, to fill that dang hole in thier road.

Maybe I spoke to soon. He did get a $172.90 ticket in the mail 3 days ago. Since he is located some 9 miles down the road doing light duty I guess I'll have to zip over to the bank and get a money order to cover the ticket.

I tell you...don't know how you manage in the nursing field. I've been taking care of him...hand and foot...for the past week and I'm about ready to kill him...rofl

i'm surprised they even THOUGHT of the idea of a citation! good grief!
but, glad they decided not to mess with you guys.

glad to hear he's not seriously hurt... and that the procedure will be just an over-nighter... alone, in a hospital, with hot dudes in scrubs! *woof*

if only to be a fly on the wall! *haha*

And let me tell you...I had a talk with his doctor after the surgery and the do's and don't's that Brian will have to go through. Talk about a hot dude in scrubs. It's not that often that I'll pop a hard on while talking to someone. Managed to make it to be bathroom for a quick handjob.

The doctor did release him after the surgery and we came straight home. It was nice being able to take care of him.

Operation was a success. He right arm is in a sling and strapped to his side until his next appointment on the 29th. He can only remove his sling to take a shower. Other than that...the doctor released him for light duty. He's answering the phone (dispatch work) down in southern Louisiana for the same employer. He'll be working 12 hours a day, 7 days on and then 7 days off...sleeping in the "bunk house" with the other truck drivers while working. His physical therapy should start around the first of the month.

I'm desparately trying to play catchup with lj this morning myself. No, we haven't moved to Texas as of yet. Since the accident...the move has been placed on the back burner for now. The move, of course, will depend on if Brian is still employed after he comes completely off of workmen's comp and if he is wanting/willing to go back to driving or take a dispatching job.
