I click on the web page and pull up my retirement accounts. Can I afford to retire in two years? I mentally calculate expenses and figure in the increases which will most likely occur. With a heavy sigh I log off. Six more years unless I just can’t do it anymore

It's hard enough mourning and dreading what these changes (and the current social tide behind them) will do to people. Being one of those directly affected every day, someone who spends time helping others who are in that same boat... it must just be maddening. I don't know how you cope with that sense of, "I'm right here! Me! I exist, and I am worthy of being treated like the valuable human being I am!"

And WHY must it be such a struggle all of the time to draw out basic human decency from the world we live in?
