I click on the web page and pull up my retirement accounts. Can I afford to retire in two years? I mentally calculate expenses and figure in the increases which will most likely occur. With a heavy sigh I log off. Six more years unless I just can’t do it anymore ( Read more... )

It is tough. I've seen many warnings since January against "outrage fatigue" where the bad and stupid starts becoming the new "normal"

This is a reality for so many people. Simply being female will be a pre-existing condition if the Senate doesn't change this bill around. We should be safe for a couple of months yet at least. Remember when Americans championed the underdog? Now it seems as if people are more willing to kick you when down, than than help pull you up. Hugs and peace~~~

Yes. And this whole "preexisting condition" thing is way too real. Many of my friends and people who've fought the good fight will be dead if this whole thing really does come to fruition. Let's hope not. Thanks for commenting!

Still, you must fight on for the sake of the people you represent. The tide will turn at some point, but until then, you are needed to make sure that not too many are swept away.
