this is gonna sound so dumb.

i was so bummed by the ending of Oz, that i haven't been able to read any of these outtakes yet.

but i really want to, because i really like your writing, and i didn't wanna say anything because i feel silly being so bummed out, but man, your ending totally bummed me out.

I was gonna leave the same comment. Well, almost the same comment.

I was gonna say that I almost didn't read these outtakes because the ending bummed me out so harshly. I did read these outtakes, and I wish I could enjoy them without thinking "yeah, but it all goes to shit in the end"... but I can't.

I really do love these. I do. But I think I'm forever scarred by the ending.

There definitely is a bittersweet feeling to reading these outtakes with knowledge of what happens in the end, but I think that relates back to one of the overarching themes of Oz in general which is that good times are fleeting, and it's important to take stock of the good things in your life and be happy and grateful for them when you have them.

But I definitely understand your feelings about how difficult the ending was. It was hard for me to go through and write, as well.

Some people, people like me, just can't handle tragedy. Not your fault. A lot of people do like it, so... you'll always have an audience.
