Amuse-bouche: a French phrase which translates literally to "mouth amuser." It is a bite-sized hors d'oeuvre served at the beginning of the meal meant to excite a guest's taste-buds as well as provide a preview of a chef's culinary style.

Author's Notes:
In Star Trek, there's something known as the 'Mirror Universe' where hapless spaceship crews inevitably end up through some technological misfire. In this parallel universe, everything & everyone is inverted, and the crew have to deal with the evil mirror versions of themselves in their attempts to get back home. It's easy to see the appeal of stories featuring the 'mirror' versions of goody-goody characters doing all sorts of depraved things.
I consider this to be my mirror Inception universe. This is what Eames, Arthur and the dream team would be if they had used their powers for music-making instead of mind-heist. I tried to retain the essence of Eames the performer and Arthur the protector, but since this is such an AU, expect the characterization connections to be tenuous at best.
On a personal note, this story was a fun return to my beginnings in Popslash, which was my first fandom. It was nice to be able write a large ensemble cast, fun banter, and scenes set on the bus. Nostalgia.
