I don't think endings or fictions in general have to be happy all the time, I enjoyed the darker mood of this one.

Thanks! I didn't want the ending to be totally happy, and initially I was going to make the ending depressing too, but this is how it came to me.

Wolfram had a breakthrough, but he still has a long way to go.

I love it!!! you made me cry..!! I don't really care about murata and greta.. I love Wolfram and how you describe him and his guilt.. wish there were more of his and yuuri's story though.. hehehe.. Wow, this was amazing o.o I was so sad while reading it (I cried, but then had to remind myself it was only a fanfictoin and not canon!), I think you really did a good job with the amount of emotion put into it.

You were going to make it more tragic? How so? While reading it I was thinking "this is the most tragic thing eeevvvveeeeerrr!" Then I read your little blurb at the end and couldn't think of what else could have went wrong to make it more tragic xD

Remember when I had Walterona ask his servant for tea after Wolfram confronted him about not telling him about Greta? I was going to have that tea being drugged so that Wolfram wouldn't be able to attend the funeral -- and I was going to have everything from that point on be one big mindfuck from Shinou -- up until the conversation with Yuuri.

When Wolfram dropped to his knees and screamed, that whole scene was going to be Shinou poking fun at him getting his hopes up, and telling him that everything he had seen was a lie -- that everyone still hated him. Then, I was going to have Shinou say he was going to do it all over again when the Maou died.

That would have upped the tragedy ante up, but I didn't have the heart to do it in the end.

By the end of the first chapter I was crying. I like how you did this. When I found out who died, i kinda was relive that it was Yuuri. I going to fanfiction now to add this now.
