Dave Allen!
I used to watch his show on PBS at during summer break when I was a kid. It was the only time I could stay up late enough to watch it. It was like a mini BBC-a-thon it would go Dave Allen, Monty Python's Flying Circus and then Doctor Who. This was one of my favorite sketches:
