So what can everyone tell me about the police force and stuff around here? Just out of curiosity

Don't know. What do you think is important? I'm sort of trying to get the lay of the land. My father was very interested in politics when I was young.

Politics are in rather short supply here; with the exception of the Warden elections, there are no democratic functions.

The police force is assembled from those residents of the City with the desire to assist in maintaining whatever semblance of order and protection to the citizens that we can, with the understanding that those who would break that order are frequently in possession of talents that may be unfamiliar to us.

So the law enforcement in this place is entirely volunteer-run and organized.

Isn't a temp agency a thing where they go out and find you a job or whatever?

I haven't heard that it's a joke yet.

Well to each their own if they work in the field or not.
