Really intrigued. I loved the setting of slave!au in nolanverse because it is so new in this fandom. You pulled it off and I really want to know what happens next.
I normally see the joker as someone who would not ever bend to torture (unstoppable force and all that) but hey, different headcanons and I'm ready to accept this version.

Is Bruce only in this to save the Joker or is he in denial about darker impulses (I admit I have a kink for Bruce getting off on controlling the Joker)?

I'm glad you thought it was well executed. :3 I have written a few slave-based worlds before, so I have a general feel for how the universe works, it was a little difficult translating it over, but I'm glad others thought it went well

This is a really interesting concept. My main criticism is that you're doing a lot of telling, instead of showing. For instance, you could have chosen to start the story on the day of Joker's sale, with Bruce buying him and then filling in some of this background (that slavery is legal, that Joker has been "broken" with therapy...). The added benefit to this is that you don't have to define how exactly Joker's been broken...it leaves more to the reader's imagination (I agree with dididouli that Joker wouldn't break under torture).

Sorry--trying to provided con crit. It's a very interesting idea and I'd really like to see what you do with it.

I agree with you on the telling, not showing. Normally I'm pretty good at this, but in someways this story is the backstory - if all goes well, I'll branch out into some side-stories which will include the full thing at a much slower pace. This part right now is basically rambling - I'm trying to tell you as much as possible in the shortest amount of time, so once it slows you understand where I'm getting at. Also I'm trying to stop my attention span from going "OH SHINY!" and abandoning the whole thing... xD

omg, I can't believe I'm your first fanfic comment on LJ! <333 I must admit, I think this is the most well received story I've published in a long time (5 reviews/comments and a few watches on ff.net).

I'm really glad you liked it - I did try to keep them in character as much as possible, but it is an AU. And don't worry about the Joker, he's got a couple of tricks up his sleeve yet!

I am a strong believer in backstory and plot - action is fine and dandy but has a place and time. I'm glad you like it too. ^.^

I keep planning to release the new one, but stuff keeps popping up - I have most of it written, just need to get two more events written in and then I'm good!
