Okay. First of all, I despise genderswap. HATE IT.

But.

But YOU. I... you know, I think this is the sort of moment that generates split personalities just to cope. See now there's the me that wants all genderswap stories to go drown in vats of boiling oil. Then there's this other me that REALLY FUCKING LOVES YOU FOR THIS STORY. And the two mes will continue to coexist uneasily, giving each other disgruntled looks now and then, but never really talking much because this is just that kind of issue which is better avoided than talked out because it's going to be nasty and cataclysmic when they finally collide.

SO. I love you for making Joker twisted and disgusting and deformed instead of a sexy femme fatale. And I love you for acknowledging the alternate reality-ness of it all in such a vague but intriguing way. And I love you for making the end such a gorgeous, horrible mid-moment drop off. You are amazing.

Now I'm going to go not deal with this internal conflict.
