Local farmers say thousands of animals are killed with mudslides and floods. Lots of cows, 80% of egg producing chickens. Nobody can estimate wildlife loses. Bears are mostly impacted, I presume. It was freezing -1°C overnight. Even those ones who escaped from the flood are awake and probably won't be able to hibernate for quite a while. Inter- ( Read more... )

Well, I am in the middle of this. Not sure what media say, power is off since about 5pm yesterday (Nov.14, 2021). I am just getting tons of messages from my friends and colleagues who are separated from me on the islands and in the mountains.
