I'm totally excited too, I'm not solid on their choices for the actors, but I am optimistic. I'm gonna have to go buy them so I can read them again.

Yeah, I heard that a while ago when Bryan Lee O'Malley announced it on his LJ. Mary Elizabeth Winstead just seems too old to play opposite Michael Cera, who still looks like a high schooler.

Well, she's the proper age to play Ramona, while Michael Cera's a couple years too young, technically. But then, he seems to confuse people a bit about his age in the comic book so maybe that's okay... I'm still waiting for Kim Pine's casting. One person in BLOM's LJ's entry's comments suggested Zooey Deschanel, which would seem good except she's a bit too obviously old. (Yeah, Kim Pine's just slightly younger -- like a year, I think? -- than Scott.)
