A strange thing...mystifying....

So Jesus Christ Superstar was fan-friggin-tastic! The presentation of it live was absolutely wonderful, not to mention that Ted Neely played Jesus in the original film version. He was great, you could tell that he was well seasoned in the role. And the guy who played Judas, James Delisco was amazing too ( Read more... )

Oh Gods Yes!! JCST is a FANTASTIC show! I'm so glad you had a chance to see it live and you and Cheezors had a great time! Live Theatre is one of my passions and we have a lovely one just 20 miles north in Appleton. (I was able to see Phantom, Rent and George Carlin there these last years)

Sorry to hear you're, sick, my Baby! ::makes you tea and cinnamon buns:: I return the comfort of a warm fresh from the dryer blanket and a snuggly Mama Otter hug.<3<3<3

Yay! I get hugs! <3

And I love live theatre too. I had the privilage to see Phantom and Spamalot on Broadway with my Drama Club in High School. I've seen a couple of others too in Pittsburgh.

And lucky, lucky you! I would have loved to have seen George Carlin live.

He was such a funny man and I wept when I found he had died. He was one of the truly great satirists of the Age. Did you happen to catch his Mark Twain Award on PBS Wednesday? When we saw him live, as usual he was rude crude and social unacceptable as ususal but he made perfect sense underneath all the "gutter-talk" as he said.

See as many live shows as you can with your Groups from High School and College. That is one of the pleasures of being in school! I'm glad that you and Cheezor can go together! I've yet to see Spamalot and Truck and Michele and I are hoping it comes back this season to the PAC here otherwise, we might bite the bullet and go to Milwaukee. We **don't** get student** prices though and can only do the occassional show. But I love them so and carry a lot of my showtune CDs in the car to annoy other drives. XD

we watched it in religion class once and couldn't figure out why judas is always black haha. i suppose it was ~social commentary~ as they did back then haha.

the way one of my religion teachers explained it was that if judas wasn't a bitch ass then "jesus" wouldn't have "died" for our sins. or something.

also i wanna see more plays and shit!

I agree! Although, my favorite version was the one released in the 90's when Judas was played by a partially bald dude XD

But yeah, it's kinda true about Judas being a bitch ass! haha

Ooo nice! :)
Are you telling me that you saw/heard TED NEELY ?? o_O I loved him in the movie, he did such a great job! (even though ethnologically, Jesus can't have looked like he does ^^)

And that's a sweet shot, man you look so happy! :)

Get better soon!
