So I have to be at PCC do do a concert at 11:15. It's now 9:20. In order to perform I need a black dress shirt with a red tie. I have the latter of those objects. I have to go buy a black dress shirt. So what am I doing? I'm sitting here posting to LiveJournal. Thta's effective time management, that is.

In other news, here's a cute puppy.

Oh, and the Disneyland All-American College Band Auditions are on Sunday. And I have nothing prepared. *sigh* There's always next year, I guess.

So I entered the concerto competition at PCC and won. That's cool. I will be performing with the PCC Orchestra on April 28th. That's pretty neat, i think. In fact, I'm really stoked about it ( Read more... )

Shasta's home from the vet. She is recovering nicely from some sort of dietary-related bacterial infection she picked up at the kennel when we boarded her. The vet gave her a couple prescriptions to get back up to 100%. She still stinks because she was so toxic, but the worst is over. The change when we picked her up was like night and day. I just sat through four of the strangest hours in opera I have ever seen. Monteverdi's L'incoronazione_di_Poppea is an amazing example of early baroque opera. Los Angeles Opera's new production of it is simply bizarre. The set design is very minimalist, which is not in itself unusual or unwelcome.
