Wow, I just passed my fourth year of having this LJ. w00t! Thanks
leatherwish for giving me that code that time...
I have been very busy lately, and things only promise to get busier. We are hurtling towards xmas at a rapid rate. Jewellery_store is getting much more traffic - I've noticed a huge increase even in the last 10 days or so. It probably helps that the xmas decorations are up in the mall. :P I'm planning on doing cookies or other homemade goods for folks this year, myself, because I honestly don't think I will be able to handle going into a mall outside of work. >_<
I went to the Remembrance Day services at the Grand Parade yesterday, which was good, as usual. it's the first time I can remember being warm outside on November 11 EVAR, for the record. And I did a lot of those ceremonies in Brownies and at school and such. Hooray for climate change?
The museum was extra-busy yesterday too. I'd be curious to see a comparison of the numbers for last year and this year, because I think having the Anne Frank exhibit really brought a lot of people in on that day specifically. (It probably also helped that practically the entire rest of the city was closed....) Anyway, I was the only interpreter-type in that day and one of our volunteers didn't show, so I ended up doing the 60 min AF tour as well as the two naturalist programs that afternoon. There were supposed to be 3, but, well, that's what happens when your volunteers are sketchy. :P
I'm getting pretty excited about going to visit
fremlin in Toronto in a couple of weeks. :D That is really keeping me going at this point, because I am a lonely
basking_lizard. It's partly of my own creation, as I am feeling somewhat antisocial. But I did manage to get out to see people last night, and will be going to a movie with Sarah tomorrow, which will be great. I think I overdosed on people while working at the mall today and as a result I am not going to see Man of the Year this evening.
I should probably get back to tidying; the landlord and a real estate agent are coming tomorrow, because the landlords have decided to sell the house. Which I'm hoping doesn't turn into too stressful of an experience (although that is probably a futile hope...). And so in preparation for that they are coming in to measure all the rooms and decide on how it will be listed. So back I go.
