I just saw a news piece concerning a speech made by Dr. Richard Leakey. One statement he made was that he believes that people would stop denying the existence of evolution in the next few decades. The idea of creation as an ongoing process appeals not only to science nerds who visualise God as writing and running software (in some cases, AI software), but also to neopagans who visualise God(dess) baking bread, and to us Episcopalians. Really, we don't have a problem with evolution; even the Catholic church doesn't. I am continually amazed at people who, supposedly in the name of faith, insist that there are all these things that God *can't* do.
