Videos keep popping up.

"I'm gonna take this opportunity to say I'm sorry... I'm soarry" LOL

Nobody's offended, Cobie. I ask people that a lot too, but it's general knowledge *SALUTE* that everybody, every Canadian, who watches the show thinks the Canada jokes are hilarious. And "Let's go to the mall" is a big hit with the kids, and I mean the 4 and 5 year olds... ;)

I have seen many people on various sites (who aren't even Canadian's) sayy that this show is offensive to Canadians with all the jokes and almost everytime I say actual Canadian's defending the show that they don't find the jokes offensive at all. I saw this especially during all the "#HowIMetYourRacism" crap.

Well, that's the thing. People who aren't Canadian are more offended than Canadians. It's just silly, and the jokes are mostly good-natured anyway. Why would anyone get offended because of a "you're too polite" stereotype? I'll take it, thank you. I'll give them this though, most Canadians get pissed about the gun thing. Everyone is like "Really? Americans are saying we are gun nuts?" and they go off on a tangent about every problem the US has had with guns and their gun laws. Then of course I try to explain that it's a Robin thing, not a Canada thing, but it's really hard to get that past anyone.

Honestly I think the whole gun thing is just a bit of ignorance on the part of the writers when they first came up with it and now they have to stick to it. I think they got confused with some parts of the upper Midwest in the U.S. For example, Minnesota where Marshall is from or the upper peninsula of Michigan, areas like that (which are close to the border of Canada) are very into hunting and guns and gun enthusiasts and all about the gun ownership (though I will say it's usually rifles and not the kind of handguns Robin will carry in her purse!). I think the writers just clumped that in all together and assumed the same held true for Canada because it was geographically close. So it's more ignorance than intended offense.

No, thanks for the thought but I'm in China and YouTube is blocked by the government. :-/

I've got a VPN on my main laptop so I can access anything from there, but I'm sitting in bed using my iPad. Yeah, it's kind of 3am here. I'm actually looking forward to the week after next when I can get back onto a vaguely normal schedule due to not having to sit up all night watching/discussing a certain TV show. I'm a night owl by nature but it's got a little out of hand here!!

I love it when Marshall says "Lawyered!" It always makes me laugh. Sometimes I wish I was a lawyer just so I could use it in arguments. xD

We had a bar crawl as part of law school graduation activities and they sold shirts for it with "#Lawyered" on the front. Of course I bought one :).

Am I the only one who finds the most terrible Barneyisms coming out of their mouth, often at totally inappropriate times, lol?
