I truly have no idea what month I read these books in; sometime between February and now. :o]

I read March by Geraldine Brooks last year and loved it. I'll have to add Year of Wonders to my one-day-in-the-far-off-future-you-better-read-this list!

I love your book lists! Hope you don't mind, but I assigned "Gilead" (I don't know how to underline) to my book club. We'll discuss it in late August.

our book club is discussing Gilead next week! i'm really looking forward to it. some very beautiful passages - not so much action-packed adventure, but they can't all be The Princess Bride...

haha. i will try to remember to let you know! i won't bring questions myself, but our discussion leader often does. if i remember correctly (i may not), there may be questions in the back of the book...?

YES. that was the first thing of hers I read. I've read two others of hers (counting Animal Dreams), both much shorter works and lighter on the switching-narration, but good stuff.

I haven't read anything by Barbara Kingsolver but my mom loves her. I just gave her "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" for her birthday. I think I'm adding the Poisonwood Bible to my beach reading list, but I already have 4 or 5 books lined up, I might need to make a cut or two.
