If you really love the Sunny beach lifestyle - there isn't much to stop you from having a go at it. Can you cover the majority of your mortgage with rent (say if you rent out your other room privately?) - or would you need more work...?

Rent for the full apartment would pretty much cover the mortgage, yeah. It's not that I don't want a sunny beach lifestyle, to up and leave is tempting (i get itchy feet!)... it's whether our "relationship" is ready for that, and it's not quite there yet to just get me to move up and in with him. And, lots to do here with family stuff too. It's complicated but we're slowly working it out.

The sea in Queensland certainly looks more inviting than the cold grey sea we have here... glad you had a fun time there.
