Peter Tork was actually in several episodes of Boy Meets World! And to be honest, ever since I was around the age of 9 or 10, I've held a bit of a grudge against Michael Nesmith because he didn't appear on the show.
I completely agree with you about Boy Meets World being the sitcom of our generation. It's absolutely one of my favorite shows ever, and I still find it hilarious and comforting to this day. Though I differ from most people and think seasons 3-5 are the best, whereas a lot of people I know like the college years best. I thought the show got increasingly dumber through those last two years. D:
What you said about Phil of the Future is right on, too. I loved it, but mostly because Ricky Ullman was in it and he's delicious. And apparently moreso. Yum.
Oh, and "Reg! Reginald Fairfield!" routinely gets quoted in my house. For no real reason at all except that it makes us laugh, I guess.
I know! I looked on imdb and he was only listed in two, but I could have sworn he was in more. As it is, I looked up Career Day and got to see him do a little bit with a guitar that was pretty awesome. I can't think of any other episodes, but he's probably out there. I could never hold a grudge against Mike, but....yeah, I get what you mean.
The thing with me is that I saw the high school and college years first, so that's the Boy Meets World I was used to. It wasn't until later that I got to see tiny!Cory and tiny!Shawn running around elementary school and I was all "WOAH". I don't know how I keep missing these things, but I do. Anyway, I wasn't too late, because I'm fairly certain I had all the episodes memorized by the time I was 12. So the college years hold a special place in my heart (especially Jack. Did you ever watch Brotherly Love?) but I agree that it got silly and a little too melodramatic and they kind of murdered Eric's character (although Will Fridel proved that he would do anything for a laugh, and it usually worked
