some days i really wonder when starbucks is going to come out with a policy where we are no longer allowed to count the money that a customer gives us because it might imply that they are somehow wrong.
had a lady bring back a travel mug yesterday. NO RECEIPT, so her return rights are jack shit as it is, but we look up the SKU and agree to let her have store credit for it to put toward another mug. naturally, it's a christmas item, so it's been marked down and is only worth about $10.
well she throws a FIT about because she JUST KNOWS that the person who gave it to her paid more for it a month ago (probably true) and is pissed off that we can only give her the current price on an item that she has no receipt for. she just CAN'T ask her friend for the receipt, because ONOSE THEY MIGHT BE OFFENDED.
i'm sorry lady but starbucks isn't just trying to screw you over. you can go to any store you want, NOBODY is going to give you more than the current price on something without a receipt. target, wal-mart, whatever. that's just how it works. even the DVD you paid $20 for a month ago is now only worth $10. suck it up.
i really didn't feel like fighting with her, though, so i just went to my SM and told her about it. of course she gave them the extra measly $5 the damn thing was worth pre-christmas anyway, but whatever.
i just don't care anymore.
p.s. what's with "no foam"? i don't get it. sometimes i think people around here ask for no foam because they feel like they're somehow being cheated out of more latte than they paid for. because seriously, 99.9% of the people around here who ask for no foam are the assholes.
