So, apparently the Westboro Baptist Church are planning to picket at Comic Con this year. They're best known for picketing soldier's funerals, Holocaust memorials, and anywhere else where waving around "GAYS AND JEWS ARE EVIL!!" signs will get Fred Phelps more attention in his ongoing crusade to live in a Jack Chick comic.

My goodness, what a busy schedule! I doubt they've had much chance to research Comic Con-goers, between their picketing of various funerals, Jews, some "lemmings", and Justin Bieber.

I can't wait to hear what happens when they find out who they've taken on. :-)

That kind of hardcore hatred requires a VERY TIGHT SCHEDULE. Why, I'm SHOCKED they can find a whole 45 minutes to protest all that "idol worship" going on at Comic Con after coming all the way to sunny San Diego.

I don't see it being as epic as Scientology vs. Anonymous, but hopefully the CC-goers will deliver. As long as no one directly confronts them (that's how they make their money, apparently; riling people up and suing anyone who touches them) it should be entertaining to watch. :)
