Please smack your fans for me. They should have told me to start reading Discworld books with anything featuring Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg. Bizarrely enough, I liked his books about the cops the most. I think Night Watch was my favorite.

Well, The Colour of Magic and the Light Fantastic were the first books in the series, or at least the first published, so I thought it would be a logical place to begin. Ah, well, I think I'm going to see if I can get my hands on Equal Rites after Nanowrimo annd try from there.

The Sword of Truth books, like all fantasy series, actually, weren't so bad, at least for the first two or so books.

The Discworld books are rather uneven. I didn't dislike "Colour of Magic," but I could never completely get through it, while I zipped through "Interesting Times" and "Monstrous Regiment." I suppose it's all a matter of individual taste, but a lot of fans aren't as fond of the very first books.
