I fully enjoyed your commentary. I've nothing too special to add except that I have thought of many ideas too. I like how it all ended and am excited for more.

You always sum everything up so beautifully. I agree with pretty much everything you said. It took me a few rewatches and over a week to really come to terms with this episode. It was just so devastating but it pains my heart that so many people seem to hate it. I feel like they've totally missed the point of the show but we are all certainly entitled to our own opinions. Thanks for the great commentary.

Thank you very much, and my earnest apologies for taking so long to respond to comments! While I've had my share of dissatisfaction with episodes of the show, I've never lost my enjoyment and appreciation of it. I sorrow for people who've lost their joy in the show in their unhappiness with the way things have developed. I think you and I are happier being content!

Well, I have to say that this was sure worth the wait. I loved your commentary. I have watched Swan Song three times now and each time I like it a little more.
The music, lighting and editing only enhanced the show even more.

I have to agree with you about Sam being 100% Sam. I don't think the brotherly bond would be as good if he was anything else. I also would not like it if Sam walked away from Dean and gave him his "apple-pie" life.
Thanks for a season of great reviews. I look forward to many more in Season Six. ;-)

Insightful commentary, as always. Thank you. Like many, my expectations of this finale were not exceeded. That's the problem with setting such a high standard as this show has done, witness the finales of seasons one, two and three. Dare I say it, but the influence of Kim Manners has been sorely missed. Still, season six has so many possibilities it's hard not to get enthusiastic even this far away from September ( ... )

Thank you! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond.

I like your take on Castiel's healing of Bobby. I think you have a definite point; Castiel hadn't been able to help before and now he could, and that helped to make up for earlier failings. And I think you're absolutely right; he derived satisfaction from being able to do it.
