Yesterday I watched the Space-X launch come apart mid-flight.

Obviously, this is a bad thing. But it wasn't a manned craft, so it doesn't get big headlines. Which leads to the thought that space launches are now so common that we don't get freaked out when one fails. I saw the headlines somewhere, but didn't read the whole article.

And yeah, I remember we had one TV channel when I was a kid, and it didn't start until 5 pm for the longest time. No fighting over what to watch, and not a problem that the TV didn't have a remote control. :)

Later you could rent a "movie box" and movies at the video store, but you had to make sure you got the right "movie box" as there were both VHS and Beta Max tapes.
