Yeah, cicadas are truly gross. They remind me of that Spider Robinson story where he claims that roaches are actually extraterrestrials. If so, then cicadas definitely are in that same category. Ugh!

Cicadas are really gross, nasty, giant, buggy things. I'm glad we don't have many of them here.

I'm weird, I really like cicadas. When I was a kid I would collect their discarded husks in a coffeecan because I thought they were so cool looking. They are very alien though.
