Thursday was awesome.

I got myself down to SOMA to go to a justin.tv tech-talk. Sure, they were talking about OAuth (which is pretty much a nice standard for authenticating to share data on the web) but of much more interest was who “they” are. But let’s back up.

The point of my going down there was to answer the question Dad asked me at

Explaination:

The part I didn't say is that MS isn't all that bad. Separate teams working on different things, a little straight-laced but generally open-ended; that sort of thing.

MS "corporate culture" doesn't strike me as even half as regimented as, say, Apple.

So I just used MS as sort of a middle-of-the-road standard as opposed to something outlandish. No hatez.
